OVERVIEW
Marked ancient Egypt's southern frontier is the point where the Nile is at its most majestic. After you get picked up from your hotel or hostel, your tour guide will take you to your first stop, Philae Temple. The temple is dedicated to the goddess Isis. It includes several shrines and sanctuaries that are thousands of years old. Your next stop will be the High Dam. The dam is considered to be the world's largest embankment dam, with a reservoir capacity of 132km. From there, you will head to the Unfinished Obelisk. Inside one of the quarries of granite stone, it is thought that the female pharaoh Hatshepsut commissioned the work during the 18th dynasty. If carved out, it would have measured about 42 meters and has been lying there for more than 3,500 years. After visiting these iconic Pharaonic landmarks, you will be dropped off at your hotel or hostel.
