What is included in a Tripianto Egypt tour package?
All Tripianto Egypt packages include: hotel accommodation with daily breakfast; a professional, licensed guide; private, air-conditioned transfers throughout; entrance fees to all sites listed in the itinerary; and bottled water on tour days. Packages described as “by flight” include all domestic flights between cities. Nile cruise packages include full board on cruise nights. International flights are not included in any package, but we can assist with recommendations and connections.
How many days do I need for an Egypt trip?
7–8 days is the minimum for a meaningful Egypt experience that covers Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan, with a Nile cruise. 10–12 days is the duration most of our travelers prefer — it adds Abu Simbel, a more relaxed pace, and optionally a Red Sea extension. 14 days is ideal for travelers who want to go deeper and add Alexandria, the White Desert, or Sinai. After 20 years of planning Egypt trips, we almost always recommend 10 days as the sweet spot for international travelers.
Can I customize an Egypt tour package?
Yes — every Tripianto Egypt package is fully customizable. You can change your travel dates, add or remove destinations, upgrade your Nile cruise from a standard ship to a private dahabiya, select specific hotels, add the Red Sea, or design a completely bespoke itinerary from scratch. There are no fixed group departure dates — all our tours are private and depart at your convenience. Contact our team with your requirements, and we will build your perfect itinerary.
Is Egypt safe for tourists in 2026?
Yes. Egypt is a safe and well-established destination welcoming millions of international visitors every year. All major tourist sites are protected by a dedicated Tourist Police force. Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and the Red Sea resorts are all very well-managed for tourism. Tripianto’s guides, drivers, and all service partners are fully vetted and licensed. Our Cairo-based team is available 24/7 throughout your trip for any support you need. We always recommend checking your government’s current travel advisory before departing.
Do I need a visa to visit Egypt?
Most international travelers can obtain an Egypt e-Visa online before travel, or a Visa on Arrival at Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan airports. The process is straightforward and costs approximately $25 USD. Travelers from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and most European countries are eligible. South African and some other passport holders may need to check current requirements with the Egyptian embassy. We provide full visa guidance to all our clients as part of the pre-trip briefing.
Egypt can be visited year-round, but the season significantly affects your experience. Here is our honest guide from 20+ years of local expertise.
🍂 October – November / Best Season
Ideal shoulder season. Heat fades, crowds thin, and Nile conditions are perfect. Best combination of weather, availability, and value.
🌸 March – April / Highly Recommended
Spring brings comfortable temperatures and longer days. Perfect for open-air sightseeing before summer arrives.
❄️ December – February / Peak Season
Peak season — perfect sightseeing temperatures but busier sites and higher hotel rates. Christmas and New Year tours are popular.
☀️ May – September / Red Sea Only
Very hot inland (40°C+). Good for a Red Sea beach extension — but most sightseeing is uncomfortable between 10 am and 5 pm.
Traveling to Egypt can be an unforgettable experience, especially when you take a few simple precautions before and during your trip. Being prepared and aware of local guidelines will help you enjoy the country’s ancient monuments, vibrant cities, and rich culture with greater comfort and confidence.
Keep Up With Current Travel Information
Before traveling, review the latest travel advice and entry regulations issued by your home country. Staying informed about local updates, visa policies, and safety recommendations can make your journey smoother and more organized.
Keep Personal Items Secure
As with any major tourist destination, crowded attractions and busy markets may attract pickpockets. Carry your valuables carefully, avoid displaying expensive items, and use your hotel safe whenever possible for passports or extra cash.
Respect Local Customs and Culture
Egypt has deep cultural and religious traditions, particularly in smaller towns and traditional areas. Wearing respectful clothing and behaving appropriately at mosques and historical sites is appreciated and often leads to more positive interactions with local people.
Use Reliable Transportation
For safer transportation, choose licensed taxis or trusted ride-sharing apps like Uber and Careem in major cities. It’s best to avoid unofficial drivers or random transportation offers from strangers.
Prepare for Egypt’s Climate
Temperatures can become very high, especially during the summer months. Drink water regularly, apply sunscreen throughout the day, and wear lightweight clothing, sunglasses, or a hat to protect yourself from the strong sun.
Stay Away From Political Gatherings
Egypt is generally welcoming to tourists, but visitors should avoid protests, demonstrations, or large political gatherings. Keeping a distance from these situations helps ensure a safer and more relaxed trip.
Be Aware of Healthcare Services
Cities such as Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan offer good medical facilities and pharmacies. Having travel insurance with medical coverage is highly recommended in case of emergencies or unexpected health issues.
Choose Food and Water Carefully
To reduce the chance of stomach problems while traveling, drink bottled or filtered water and eat at clean, reputable restaurants. Freshly cooked meals are usually the safest option during your stay.
Save Important Emergency Numbers
It’s helpful to keep Egypt’s emergency numbers accessible throughout your trip. Dial 122 for police assistance and 123 for ambulance services if needed.
Following these practical travel safety tips can help you have a smoother, more enjoyable experience while exploring the remarkable history, culture, and landscapes of Egypt.
